The Liddesdale quilted jacket is one of Barbour’s most iconic designs. The jacket quickly gained traction among outdoor enthusiasts and across equestrian sports, in the cities, and on the countryside. The jacket features in The Crown, a series about the British royal family. It can be worn with a suit as well as paired with jeans and boots, no matter the season. The jacket has a balanced fit and is neither excessively wide nor baggy, nor too narrow. Liddesdale gives slightly different impressions and possibilities depending on the colour you choose. Below we give you three of our ways to interpret the Liddesdale, in three different colours.
Choosing the navy-blue Liddesdale opens the availability of a colour-scale of beige, brown, and green. We have created a classically preppy look, featuring loafers and a light blue Oxford shirt, paired with a tie and a cardigan. The outfit can appear somewhat formal, but balances up with a forest green baseball cap.
The olive-green variant of the Liddesdale is often the colour most associated with the model. The colour opens for a world of variants. Light trousers and contrasting sneakers with details that ties in with the jacket gives a relaxing colour blend that fits well all year around, but perhaps even better at the beginning of spring, when the sun begins to warm up the ground again. A knitted vest and beanie add warming layers and exciting texture, bringing the combination to life.
